Patina yes or no? / patina da ali ne?

Večno vprašanje. Ali naj nakit patiniram ali ne. Naj ga umažem, kot pravi moja prijateljica ali naj ga lepo pustim svetlečega?

Ker sem tokrat imela več enakih  kosov sem lahko primerjala.

As i had this time more equal pieces of jewelry i did both and then compare them.

In jasno, še vedno nisem prepričana kaj mi je bolj všeč :) oboje najbrž :)

Kako so nastali mini hrastki / Oak leaf earrings tutorial

V soboto sem se po tem, ko nas je dež predčasno pregnal iz Artisha, podala na lov za mini želodki. Že nekaj časa imam idejo v glavi, kako bi želodke spremenila v uhančke, obeske. Nabrala sem par luštnih majhnih želodkov in nekaj manjših hrastovih listkov za uhane. Med vsemi temi listki, pa je bil tudi en zelo mini. Ravnilo je pokazalo, da meri 10 x 8 mm ♡.

On Saturday, after the rain early banished us from Artish, i went for a hunt for mini acrons. I have an idea in my head for a long time how to turned acrons into earrings, pendants. I picked a couple of cute small acrons and some small oak leafs for earrings. Among all these treasures there was one very mini oak leaf. Ruler showed that mini oak leaf measures 10 x 8 mm ♡.

Ker se list hitro posuši in postane zelo krhek, sem si prvo naredila kalup iz dvokomponentne mase.


As the leaf dries quickly and becomes very fragile, I first made ​​a mold from 2 part silicone moulding compound.

Nato sem srebro odtisnila v kalup in dobila male listke, ki pa potrebujejo še veliko obdelave in so v tej fazi najbolj občutljivi. Hkrati sem naredila tudi nekaj mini želodkov.
 
Then I stamped silver into the mold and got small pieces of leafs. On this stage leafs still need to have a lot of processing and are very fragile. At the same time I made some mini acrons.

Ko se je srebro posušilo, je bilo potrebno porezati stran ves odvečni material in zbrusiti robove listkov.

When the silver dries i had to cut away any excess material and sand the edges of the leafs.

Listke sem opremila z v naprej pripravljenimi oznakami za srebro .999FS in jih dala žgati v pečko na 650°C za 1 uro.

I equipped all the leafs with the previously prepared marks for silver .999 FS. Then i put them in my firing kiln on 650°C for one hour.

Po žganju, sem jih pustila, da se ohladijo in z medeninasto krtačo zdrgnila bel prah, ki nastane ob žganju. Liski se svetijo in potrebno jih je samo še zalotati na srebrne osnove.

After firing i let them cool and brush them with very fine brass brush. Leafs are now shiny and only needed to be solder to earposts.

Tako pa izgledajo končani uhančki ♡.

After i finish my introductory workshop i did get certification:

Po opravljenem tečaju, sem naredila še par izdelkov in nato srebro odložila in se ga ne dotaknila dobri dve leti in pol.

After that workshop i did make a few pieces and then let it sit in the box for almost two and half years.

Aprila 2013 pa me je zopet premamila želja, da bi mečkala srebro in ustvarjala srebrn nakit in od takrat sem "pečena" in zelo dobra stranka pri trgovinah s srebrom. Seveda le tega ne prodajajo nikjer v Sloveniji in ga moram naročati iz tujine.

In April 2013, i was again tempted by the desire to work with silver and from then i'm "baked and cooked" :) And i am a very good costumer in those gorgeus shops on internet where they sell my precious silver. 'cuz silver is not aveilable in Slovenia i must buy it from other countries.

Za izdelovanje svojega nakita uporabljam Art silver clay 650. Slika je stara in tele zaloge že zdavnaj nimam več :) Trenutno čakam na novo pošiljko.

For making my jewelry i use Art silver clay 650. This is old picture and i don't have that silver anymore :)

No, na koncu naj pokažem še nekaj izdelkov, ki sem jih naredila v vsem tem času, kar zopet ustvarjam s srebrom.
